Dear all:
 
To attend the Toastmasters meeting not only learn the public speaking skill and leadership, but also share the knowldege and updated information from  members.
 
Today's meeting I was nourished by:
 
Justine Liu's introduction about Facebook which aroused my interest to know more about the updated knowlege of computer field.
 
Michael Liang's reminder  that happiness is so easy to reach when we open our hearts.
 
Peggy Chang's  economic growth chart that provided six decades economy changes of Taiwan.
 
 
Of course,  I need to mention the following winners who added the color to our tonight meeting:

The best Table Topics speaker      : Gordon Brooks
The best evaluator                          : Shane Lin

用愛填滿中秋 您買一盒 我捐10元

八八水災淹沒了家園、淹沒了心愛的人，今年的中秋節多少人將淚眼望月，寄望夢中團圓。

「第一烘焙屋」在8月18日下午開班會，小嘉說：看很多人回不了家很難過；小毅說：覺得很可憐，沒有家可以住；看到大家都踴躍出錢出力幫助災區同胞，於是他們也開始認真討論：我們可以做什麼？

   小山說：整理做清潔

  小嘉說：送糧食、捐款

  小華說：我會做月餅，
                我要做月餅幫 助他們

  小毅說：出錢幫助別人買房子及卡拉OK設備、煮飯

經過七嘴八舌的熱列討論，最後「第一烘焙屋」的老師和同學們決定要努力做月餅、賣月餅，每賣出一盒將捐出10元，支持「世界展望會」協助災區重建家園。 敬請大家踴躍支持訂購，支持心智障礙青年工作訓練，也為災區的朋友們加油。

「第一烘焙屋」將參加內政部所辦理的「2009身心障礙福利機構及團體秋節產品禮盒聯合促銷展示記者會」，我們提供20盒「花開迎月」中秋禮盒義賣，所得亦將全數捐出協助災區重建。
敬請大家來一同共襄盛舉。
展售時間：2009年8月25日（星期二）P.M.15：00～P.M.17：00

Your assignment is to count the Ah Words for Session Masters, Joke Tellers, Table Topics Speakers, Prepared Speech Speakers, and Individual Evaluators and give the report at the end of General Evaluation.

Toastmaster of the Evening, dear fellow members and the most welcome guests,

 

I am pleased to be the Ah-Counter of tonight's meeting. My job is to help you cure your bad habit of making “vocalized pauses”, They are the sounds like “ah, ” “er, ” and “em” or the words like “well…, ” “and…, ” “but…,” “so…,” and “you know…”.

 

I will count the numbers of the “Ahs” from your talk during each session. And also, I will give a report at the end of the Evaluation Session and tell you who is the Ah King or Ah Queen of tonight’s meeting.

 

Let’s welcome back to the Toastmasters of the evening.
